Why can't I close (or reopen) a service request?
What you'll do: There's no manual "Close" button — a completed request closes automatically overnight after a grace period. And you can only reopen a request while it's Completed; once it's Closed, reopening isn't possible.
Closing
A service request becomes Completed when its job(s) finish. It then flips to Closed automatically during a nightly sweep (around 03:00 IST), once its grace window has passed. There's no button to close it immediately — this is by design.
Reopening
- Completed requests can be reopened: use Reopen SR to send it back to Draft for another visit.
- Closed requests cannot be reopened — the Reopen action disappears once the nightly sweep closes the request.
So if you might need another visit, reopen the request while it's still Completed, before it auto-closes. If a closed request needs more work, raise a new service request.
