What's the difference between "End Work" and "Complete Job"?
What you'll do: Complete Job finishes and seals the whole job. End Work ends today's visit when you're not done — for example when you need parts or have to come back. Complete needs a connection; End Work works offline.
Complete Job — everything is done
Use Complete Job when the work is finished. You'll be asked to confirm, then review the report and capture signatures.
- You must be online. If you're offline you'll see: "You're offline. Connect to the internet to complete this job — your report is saved and will be ready when you're back online."
- Two report fields are required before you can complete: Work Done and Status after visit.
- On completing, the report is sealed (read-only) and the final PDF is prepared. The job becomes Completed.
End Work — pausing or handing off
Tap End Work, then answer "Did you complete all work for this visit?" — Yes takes you to Complete; No opens the reason picker:
- Parts required — needs a part description (optional OEM part code and a note). This sends the job to Awaiting Parts, and your coordinator drives it from there.
- Power not available
- Customer had to leave
- Work partially complete
- Other site reason — needs a short reason.
After the reason you'll review the report and capture signatures. The job becomes Visit Ended (you can return later) or Awaiting Parts. End Work can be done offline and syncs when you reconnect.
