How do I revise a quote?
What you'll do: Open the quote and choose Create revision. This makes a fresh draft (numbered …-R2, -R3, …) carrying the customer's history, which you then edit and submit like any new quote.
When to use it
Use Create revision whenever a quote has moved past draft and you need to change it — after a rejection, an expiry, or a renegotiation. (If it's still a Draft, just edit it directly instead.)
Steps
- Open the quote and click Create revision, then confirm.
- You land on a new Draft revision with the edit slide-over already open. Prices and floors carry over; product details are refreshed from the current Product Master.
- Edit and submit it like any quote.
When you can't revise
- Draft — there's nothing to revise; edit the draft directly.
- Converted — once a quote has become a Sales Order it can't be revised:
- Even if that Sales Order is later cancelled, the quote stays Converted — raise a brand-new quote to sell again.
- A product on the quote has since been deactivated — reactivate it (or re-quote without it) first.
