How do I send the Field Service Report (FSR) to the customer?
What you'll do: On a completed job, open the service request's Jobs tab and click Send FSR to customer. Confirm the recipient email and send — the report PDF is emailed to the customer.
What an FSR is
A Field Service Report is the per-visit report the engineer fills in and seals when they complete a job — the fault, work done, readings, photos, and signatures. Sending it to the customer is a manual step (it does not happen automatically on job completion).
Steps
- Open the service request and go to the Jobs tab.
- On a completed job card, click Send FSR to customer.
- Confirm the recipient in the Send FSR to customer dialog and click Send FSR. You'll see "FSR sent to {email}."
If it's already been sent, the button reads "FSR sent {time} ago — Resend?".
If there's no email
If the job has no customer email captured and you don't supply one, you'll see:
No customer email available. Add a customer signature email at job completion or supply to_email in the request body.Add a recipient email and try again.
Good to know
- This FSR email is the only automatic-looking email BusinessOps360 sends to a customer from the service side — and it's still a manual click. Customers don't receive automatic status-change emails.
Need to correct the report first?
If something on the sealed report needs fixing before you send it, a coordinator or manager can revise it — see How do I correct (revise) a Field Service Report?.
