How do I approve or reject a quote waiting on me?
What you'll do: If you're your workspace's quote approver, open the quote from your Approver Inbox (or the notification), review it, and click Approve or Reject. Rejection requires a note.
Who can approve
Approval isn't tied to a role — it's tied to identity. Only the specific person configured as the approver (and stamped on the quote when it was submitted) can approve or reject it. Even a Tenant Admin can't approve someone else's assigned quote.
Steps
- Open the Approver Inbox from the navigation (it appears only for the configured approver) or click through from your notification.
- Open a Pending Approval quote. You'll see the line items plus a Margin Analysis card (list total vs quoted total, discount amount and %, and how many lines are below floor).
- Click:
- Approve — optionally add a note for the Sales Executive, then confirm. The quote becomes Approved and can be marked as sent.
- Reject — a note is required (there are quick-reason chips). The quote becomes Rejected — a terminal state. To try again, the sales user raises a revision.
Common messages
- "Only the configured approver for this Quote can approve or reject." — You're not the approver stamped on this quote.
- "Quote is in '<status>' status; approve / reject is allowed only on quotes in 'pending_approval'." — Someone already decided it, or it moved on.
