How do I find and view an installed-base asset?
What you'll do: Open Assets (under Master Data). Search or filter to find a unit, then click it for the Overview, Components, Activity, and (for some roles) Audit tabs.
What "assets" are
An asset is a specific installed unit — a product with a serial number, at a customer site. BusinessOps360 keeps a light installed base: product, serial, warranty, coverage, and service history, without full inventory management. Assets are usually created automatically when a serialised product is invoiced.
Steps
- Open Assets from the navigation.
- Search or filter the list; click a row to open the asset.
- On the detail page:
- Overview — identity, status, warranty, and AMC/warranty coverage.
- Components — components and battery banks on the unit.
- Activity — the change feed.
- Audit — the audit trail (shown only to roles with audit permission).
Asset statuses
You'll see statuses like In stock, Shipped, Installed, Replaced, Back to manufacturer, and Decommissioned. Warranty shows as Under warranty, Warranty expired, or Warranty unknown.
